Ingredients
- 4 fresh limes, washed and quartered
- 4 cups cold water
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup ice cubes
Optional Add-Ins:
- A pinch of salt to enhance flavors
- Coconut milk for a tropical twist
- Mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Blend the Limes
- Place the quartered limes and cold water into a blender.
- Pulse the blender a few times (about 5-6 short pulses). Avoid over-blending, as it can make the drink bitter from the lime peels.
Step 2: Strain the Mixture
- Pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a pitcher.
- Use a spoon to press down and extract as much liquid as possible, discarding the remaining lime pulp.
Step 3: Add Sweetness & Creaminess
- Stir in the sugar until fully dissolved.
- Add the sweetened condensed milk and mix well until the lemonade becomes smooth and creamy.
Step 4: Serve & Enjoy!
- Fill glasses with ice cubes.
- Pour the Brazilian Lemonade over the ice and garnish with lime slices or mint leaves.
- Serve immediately and enjoy this creamy, tangy, and refreshing drink!
Notes
- Use fresh limes: The fresher the limes, the better the flavor! Avoid overripe or dull-colored limes.
- Donβt over-blend: Blending too much can release bitter flavors from the lime rinds.
- Serve immediately: Brazilian Lemonade tastes best when fresh. Over time, it may become slightly bitter due to oxidation.
- Adjust the sweetness: If you prefer a sweeter drink, add more sugar or condensed milk to taste.
