These Cherry Pie Bites are a sweet, bite-sized treat with all the classic pie flavor—perfect for parties or a quick dessert!
Ingredients
- 1 sheet refrigerated pie crust (or homemade)
- ½ cup cherry pie filling (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (optional for topping)
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prep
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: Cut the Dough
- Roll out the pie crust and cut into 2½–3 inch rounds using a cookie cutter or glass.
Step 3: Fill the Bites
- Spoon a small amount (about 1 tsp) of cherry filling into the center of half the dough rounds.
- Place another round on top, pressing the edges with a fork to seal.
Step 4: Add the Egg Wash
- Beat the egg with 1 tablespoon of water. Brush the tops of the bites and sprinkle with sugar if desired.
Step 5: Bake & Cool
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.
Notes
- Different fillings: Swap cherry for apple, blueberry, or even lemon curd.
- Pie crust alternatives: Try puff pastry or crescent dough for a different texture.
- Vegan version: Use dairy-free pie crust and skip the egg wash (or use plant milk).
