    • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

    • ½ teaspoon dried thyme

    • ½ teaspoon ground cumin

    • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

    • 1 teaspoon salt

    • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For the Tzatziki Sauce:

    • 1 cup Greek yogurt (full-fat preferred)

    • ½ cup cucumber, grated and squeezed to remove excess water

    • 1 tablespoon olive oil

    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

    • 1 garlic clove, minced

    • 1 teaspoon fresh dill (or ½ teaspoon dried)

    • ½ teaspoon salt

    • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

For Serving (Optional):

    • Warm pita bread or naan

    • Cherry tomatoes, sliced

    • Red onion, thinly sliced

    • Feta cheese, crumbled

    • Fresh parsley or mint for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Marinate the Chicken

  • In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, thyme, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the chicken breasts or thighs, coating them well in the marinade.
  • Cover and chill for at least 30 twinkles ( or up to 8 hours for further flavor).

Step 2: Make the Tzatziki Sauce

  • While the funk is marinating, prepare the tzatziki sauce.
  • In a bowl, mix together Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, dill, salt, and black pepper.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.

Step 3: Cook the Chicken

Grill Method:

  • Preheat a caff or caff visage over medium-high heat.
  • Cook the funk for 5- 7 twinkles per side, flipping formerly, until golden brown and completely cooked.

Pan-Searing Method:

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook the funk for 5- 7 twinkles per side, flipping formerly, until golden brown and completely cooked.

Oven Method:

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Bake the chicken for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Step 4: Assemble and Serve

  • Let the funk rest for 5 twinkles, also slice it into strips.
  • Serve with tzatziki sauce on top or on the side.
  • Pair with pita, rice, salad, or roasted vegetables.

Notes

  • For Extra Flavor: Marinate the chicken overnight for deeper seasoning.
  • Make it Spicy: Add ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper to the marinade.
  • Try a Different Protein: Swap chicken for shrimp, lamb, or tofu.
  • Vegan Option: Use grilled tofu or chickpeas instead of chicken, and replace Greek yogurt with a dairy-free alternative.
  • Meal Prep Friendly: Store in separate containers and assemble when ready to eat.
