Ingredients

For the Wraps:

    • 1 lb ground beef

    • 1/2 teaspoon salt

    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

    • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

    • 4 large flour tortillas

    • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce

    • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

    • 1/4 cup diced onions

    • 1/2 cup sliced dill pickles

    • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

For the Special Sauce:

    • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

    • 2 tablespoons ketchup

    • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard

    • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish

    • 1 teaspoon white vinegar

    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

    • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

    • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

Step 1 – Preparation

  • Make the Special Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes for the flavors to blend.

  • Chop the Veggies: Finely dice the onions, shred the lettuce, and slice the pickles.

  • Prepare the Cheese: Grate fresh cheddar cheese for a richer, meltier texture.

Step 2 – Cooking Process

  • Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
  • Warm the Tortillas: Heat each tortilla in a dry skillet or microwave for 15 seconds to make them pliable.

Assemble the Wraps:

  • Spread a generous layer of the special sauce on each tortilla.
  • Add a layer of shredded lettuce and cheddar cheese.
  • Spoon cooked beef evenly onto each wrap.
  • Top with diced onions and sliced pickles.
  • Wrap and Toast:
  • Fold the sides of the tortilla inward and roll it tightly.
  • Toast the wrap in a dry skillet for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown.

    Step 3 – Final Touch & Serving

    • Garnish with Sesame Seeds (optional) to mimic the classic Big Mac bun.
    • Slice in Half for easy eating and a great presentation.
    • Serve with Extra Special Sauce on the side for dipping.

    Notes

    • Use Lean Ground Beef: For a balanced texture without too much grease.
    • Let the Special Sauce Sit: The longer it rests, the better the flavors meld.
    • Don’t Overfill the Wraps: This prevents them from bursting open.
    • Toast the Wraps: This step adds a slight crunch and enhances flavor.
