Ingredients
- 1 large green cabbage
- 2–3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley or grated Parmesan (optional for garnish)
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Cabbage
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Remove any damaged outer leaves from the cabbage.
- Slice the cabbage into ¾- to 1-inch thick rounds (about 4–6 “steaks”).
Step 2: Season the Steaks
- Arrange the cabbage slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Drizzle with olive oil and season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Use your hands or a brush to ensure even coating.
Step 3: Roast
- Roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy on the edges and fork-tender in the center.
Step 4: Serve
- Garnish with parsley or Parmesan and a squeeze of fresh lemon if desired.
