Description

This Whipped Chocolate recipe is rich, airy, and incredibly easy. Perfect for chocolate lovers year-round!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (chilled)
  • ½ cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips (or chopped bar)
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Optional Toppings

  • Shaved chocolate
  • Fresh berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
  • Whipped cream
  • Mint leaves
  • Crushed cookies or nuts

Instructions

Step 1: Melt the Chocolate

  1. In a heat-safe bowl, melt the chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  2. Let the chocolate cool slightly so it’s warm but not hot—this prevents curdling when combined with cream.

Step 2: Whip the Cream

  1. In a large chilled mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with an electric mixer on medium-high speed.
  2. Add powdered sugar, vanilla excerpt, and a pinch of swab.
  3. Continue whipping until soft peaks form.

Step 3: Fold in the Chocolate

  1. Gently fold the cooled melted chocolate into the whipped cream in batches using a spatula.
  2. Mix until fully incorporated and smooth. Be careful not to deflate the cream too much.

Step 4: Chill and Serve

  1. Spoon the whipped chocolate into small glasses or ramekins.
  2. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
  3. Add your favorite toppings just before serving.

Notes

  • Vegan Option: Use coconut cream and dairy-free chocolate for a plant-based twist.
  • Make it Boozy: Add a splash of Kahlúa, Baileys, or Grand Marnier to the melted chocolate for an adult-only dessert.
  • Double Chocolate: Add chocolate shavings or mini chips for a textural surprise.
  • Espresso Kick: Stir a teaspoon of instant espresso into the melted chocolate for mocha magic.
  • Nutella Love: Replace half of the chocolate with Nutella for a hazelnut spin.
